FREEBIRD

Freebird is an app that gives you cash back when you go out. Just link your Lyft or Uber, select from a list of great things to go do near you, then rake in the money. Pretty cool. Except nobody knew about it. And Freebird specifically wanted a younger, more “going out” kind of audience in Austin, TX to know about it in the sexiest way possible. So how do you get an advertising-jaded population to buy sex appeal on a shoestring budget?

With a secret: we’ll pay you to go out. And a big-mouthed mascot with no filter to tell it. A Little Birdie Told Me is a campaign that embraced the budget, putting all the power of Freebird into a lo-fi character that acted as a sherpa of good times with an “in” everywhere, delivering our message with comedic honesty while surrounded by sex appeal. This social-first campaign made its way onto billboards, digital fliers, GIFs, window clings, and even coasters, all in the name of making going out more rewarding.
